Sweet Venues is delighted to offer a wide-range of venue options in Brighton, with our amazing year-round offerings, as well as numerous pop-up spaces for the duration of the Brighton Fringe.

From our beginnings with The Dukebox Theatre, which opened at The Iron Duke in November 2012, and played host to a variety of shows, including theatre, comedy, cabaret, music, and poetry. The theatre won the Latest Award for Best Venue at the Brighton Festival and Fringe in 2013.

Times and venues change and we are proud to welcome The Duke of Wellington, lovingly referred to as The Welly, as our new hub for year-round venues. Sweet@The Welly is an intimate space, bringing together comedy, spoken word, music, and small scale theatre to the very heart of Brighton, only five minutes away from Brighton Station on Upper Gloucester Road. Our gorgeous theatre also plays host to regular acting and improv workshops, so do get in touch if you’re looking to stretch your creative limits. With a wide selection of drinks and the best menu of pies in Brighton, we’ve got your afternoon or night of entertainment covered!

For Brighton Fringe 2018, we are delighted to be programming our new pop-up venue, based in Werks Central, on Middle Street. Sweet Werks boasts two fantastic studio spaces and an wonderful cafe, so take some time before or after your show for some tasty treats all in a modern and friendly environment.

All our venues barring Sweet@The Welly have full disabled access. Sweet@The Welly is located up one flight of stairs, and is not fully accessible to those with wheelchairs or mobility issues.

All our other Brighton venues are fully accessible to all ages.
